The official holidays observed in Puerto Rico are defined by the Political Code, Article 387. Also included are: New Year’s Day, Three Kings’ Day, Holy Friday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
The code states that when any of these days falls on a Sunday, it will be celebrated the following Monday. During these days government offices will remain closed.
